Woodyard Memorial Library is to enable all patrons to be lifelong learners.&nbsp; We strive to make available a wide variety of materials and services to meet the needs of the community and of Wirt County High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-22 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>B. Get better training on Sublimation Printer and Snap-maker Machine to provide more training for the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-88 wp-block-paragraph\">3. Utilize future library commission online databases for library and remote use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-91 wp-block-paragraph\">4. Apply for grants to continue to update technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-94 wp-block-paragraph\">5. Review, evaluate, and update internet policies as needed.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-97 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>E.&nbsp; Timeline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list gtfy-104\">\n<li class=\"gtfy-100 gutenify-list-item\">In 2-3 more years, we will need to look at our current computers to see if they need updated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gtfy-101 gutenify-list-item\">We will start training asap to better our knowledge of our equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gtfy-102 gutenify-list-item\">Grants will be searched for and applied for on a regular basis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gtfy-103 gutenify-list-item\">We will do our best to continue to evaluate the patrons\u2019 needs and adjust as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-107 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>F.&nbsp; Budget<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-110 wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; We will use monies from our general fund to purchase computer equipment.&nbsp; We will make attempts to utilize grant funds if necessary\/available for technology needs to keep up with the 21<sup>st<\/sup> century demands for community growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-113 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>G.&nbsp; Education and Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list gtfy-125\">\n<li class=\"gtfy-118 gutenify-list-item\">Staff:<ul><li>We will take advantage of seminars provided by the WVLC for training.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Library director will take part in and encourage other employees to take part in online webinars and professional growth opportunities through WVLC, ALA, and other entities. As well as continuing to go to library conferences to expand knowledge.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>We will work to provide up-to-date and helpful information on the library website for user friendly access.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list gtfy-117\">\n<li class=\"gtfy-116 gutenify-list-item\">Staff will take part in trainings on the Niche and keep up with professional development requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gtfy-121 gutenify-list-item\">Students:<ul><li>Students at Wirt County High School will be trained in the use of EBSCO and other databases as will our other patrons.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Students will attend programming at the library that will expand their knowledge on all the makerspace offers such as the circuit, heat presses, 3D printing, laser cutting, and more.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Information literacy will become a major component to the classroom connections from the library. Teachers will be encouraged to utilize the library resources to improve student information literacy skills.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list gtfy-120\">\n<li class=\"gtfy-119 gutenify-list-item\">We will utilize the social media accounts to also serve as a way to educate and demonstrate to adolescents how to properly create a digital footprint and build a positive presence online.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gtfy-124 gutenify-list-item\">Public:<ul><li>An overall goal is to improve public access to information from within and outside the walls of the library.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>We will hold public training sessions on technological needs such as basic computer usage, WV Reads e-books, Talking Books, EBSCO, and other needed areas.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>We will utilize the social media accounts to create a 24\/7 community connection to the library. The community should always know about programs being offered, items being added, and other library news to build overall enthusiasm for their public library.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list gtfy-123\">\n<li class=\"gtfy-122 gutenify-list-item\">We will do community nights with the public so that they can learn about the technology the library offers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-128 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>H. Technology Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-131 wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Most of the technology mentioned in this plan has already been integrated into the library setting. Our biggest problem remains finding space and furniture for our new equipment. We also plan to expand our programming to utilize more technology in the library. Some ways that we integrate the technology we have with our patrons are through: WCHS students STEM once a month, WCMS quarterly visits, and community nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-134 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I.&nbsp; Evaluation Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list gtfy-140\">\n<li class=\"gtfy-137 gutenify-list-item\">We will determine the success of this plan\u2019s goals by doing statistical counts of how much the equipment is used.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gtfy-138 gutenify-list-item\">We will set up surveys for the patrons to assess the technology we offer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"gtfy-139 gutenify-list-item\">We will evaluate the plan annually and update it every three years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-143 wp-block-paragraph\">Adapted by the Dora B.
